Not the pairing I was hoping for. A tough rival with Champions League experience. They will put a lot of pressure on us in the 2nd Leg. We really need to make the 1st Leg count if we want a chance of passing this round.

Olympiakos very slight favorites.
Olympiakos lost Torosidis to Roma, but still strong. Midfield will be the battle ground. Game in Piraeus will be pure entertainment.

Depends on how many tickets Leveante make available. Whatever the figure Levante give to Olympiakos, I am sure Gate 7 with snap most of them up immediately and all the tickets will sell out.

Olympiakos had a very depressing day today. Lost its first game of the season..

Looks like it was an awesome game!!! Two great goals by your opponent and some great offensive play by your team as well. You had 3 or 4 very near goals that could have easily swayed the balance in your favor.

Why was your coach/manager fired if your team is doing so well?? You hadn't lost a game other than in the Champions, right? Why the need to change? and why Míchel??

By the way are you from Greece? Do you know of the player we just signed from the Greek National Team, Loukas Vyntra? What do you think of him? Also, what about Nikos Karabelas another Greek we have in our team this year?

I hope someday we could sign Kostas Fortounis. I am really impressed by him as a player from the Euro2012.

The two amazing goals were both score by two under 21 Greece internationals, Thanassis Karagounis and Eli Dimoutsos.

Jardim was fired because the fans in Karaiskaki want to be entertained. We know we have the best team/stadium and most fans so we expect victories with style and attacking flair. We dont want to win 1-0 against a very weak team. We want 4-0 with lots of entertainment. Jardim was not giving us the pleasure on the pitch we wanted. So he went.

We signed Michel because he is Spainish and Greek teams love spanish players/managers. Teams like Aris used to have about 10-15 spaniards on their team at one point thanks to a clever little Catalan agent called Manel Ferrer.. Asteras also has lots of Latin players currently.

My grandfather was from Greece, my other Grandparents were English, Catalan and Austrian. I know Greece well.

Vyntra is a waste of space. Hugely accident prone right back or central defender. Dont like this player. Very average. But maybe Spain improves him?

Karabellas should have gone to Spain when he was 20 because now he would be a better player. I am not sure how he has performed for you, but I was quite impressed he got a contract in Spain. He was never anything amazing in Greece, but always had potential to be better.

Fortunis is not bad, but nothing sensational. The best two attacking players Greece has is Ninis, currently being ruined at Parma and Fetfatzidis who was destroyed by Olympiakos and who gets no minutes. Both are hugely technically gifted and I encourage you to youtube them both. Both should be in Spain now devloping, but both are brain dead when it comes to career development.

Greece sadly does not encourage attacking players domestically but instead likes to develope home grown defenders of which we have plenty. Infact Greece has become a defenders farm to Europe. Kyriakos Papadoupoulos (Schalke), Sokratis (Werder), Malezas (Fortuna), Torosidis (Roma), Spiropoulos (Chievo), Tzavellas (Monaco), Moras (Verona) etc... A very good defender who is at Olympiakos is Kostas Manolas. This is a player built for La Liga and still very young.
