A round ends the moment someone’s table melds reach exactly fifty‑one points. If a player goes beyond fifty‑one, that player must wait for the next turn to fix the number—often by swapping in an ace or breaking apart a high set. When the round ends, the winner scores zero penalty points while everyone else counts the cards still in hand and adds that number to a personal penalty pile. Lower scores are better, so steady winners stay close to zero.
